Anonymous asked: you understand you told people they're allowed to have opinions about your sorority in that post, then go on to tell them fuck off. isn't that hypocritical?
Pardon me, but where exactly did I say that? It’s true, people are allowed to have whatever opinions they want, but I take issue with those sometimes-negative opinions being broadcasted to my face when it’s quite apparent that the thing being opined on means very much to me. In this case, the phrase “if you haven’t anything nice to say, shut the fuck up” applies very nicely, which is where “fuck off” came from. I know how to hold my tongue when I know my words might hurt someone - that isn’t particularly hypocritical behavior, just an effort to be a good human being. I also know how to be deliberately hurtful, but I make a concerted effort to avoid using that knowledge. Understand?

I agree with want you said to anonymous, I think sometimes people get having “any opinion I want” or “doing whatever I want” with having any opinion or doing anything they want without consequences.
